-A stick of beech wood is taken and wishes are carved into the bark. The stick should then be buried in the ground and left there, if the wishes are meant to be, they will come true. This tradition is designed to improve your chances.

-If one carries the wood or leaves, it is said he or she is trying to increase their creative powers.

-It is said that carrying beech can also improve literary skills.

-When in need of inspiration, some Wiccans place a beech leaf between the covers of a Book of Shadows (a personal book witches keep).
