Spring in Bakewell
Yesterday my husband and I went on a little adventure to Bakewell. It was my first visit to the Peak District in the UK, a mountainous region known for its draw to ramblers (hikers) and campers. Bakewell did not disappoint! It is a beautiful little village named after the famous Bakewell Tart. We got to take a lovely walk along the river, peruse some quaint shops, have the sweetest (and biggest) tart of my life, and see spring blossoming everywhere. I was tickled to see the duckings and even a gosling swimming around and lots of flowers in bloom. We even got to meet Mr. Skidmore and his "one-in-a-million" squirrel named Lucky.
